A major blunder during the broadcast of the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 on the Italian channel RAI2. After the finalists were announced, a banner was displayed at the bottom on which the results of the local televoting were published. The rule is that the results remain strictly secret until after the final.

The X account ESC Discord posted the fragment in question online in which the sixteen countries of the second semi-final are presented in succession, followed by percentages. It is clearly about the voting percentages achieved. Below you will find the list:

  1. Malta: 2.19%
  2. Albania: 6.68% (8 points)
  3. Greece: 5.29% (4 points)
  4. Switzerland: 6.03% (6 points)
  5. Czech Republic: 2.48%
  6. Austria: 2.84%
  7. Denmark: 2.93% (2 points)
  8. Armenia: 5.83% (5 points)
  9. Latvia: 2.91% (1 point)
  10. San Marino: 3.54% (3 points)
  11. Georgia: 6.64% (7 points)
  12. Belgium: 1.69%
  13. Estonia: 2.80%
  14. Israel: 39.31% (12 points)
  15. Norway: 1.55%
  16. Netherlands: 7.32% (10 points)

In addition to the percentages as announced, we placed the points ourselves based on the ranking. Israel clearly won the Italian televoting with almost forty percent of all votes. Joost Klein from the Netherlands follows at a great distance, who still received ten points with just over seven percent.

Our Mustii finished penultimate in the Italian rankings with 1.68% of all votes. Only the Norwegian group Gåte did slightly worse.

The video in question in which the results are leaked can be seen below:
