Next week in GTST: Praising charity and the united first time

--

Bing confronted Nina with the question whether her investment in his company comes indirectly through Ludo.

Bing is angry

Nina can no longer deny it. The fact that she had the best intentions doesn’t make Bing any less furious. He demands that she arrange it within a day so that he can still buy the property next to Sparks, but Ludo appears not to relent.

Bing doesn’t appreciate Nina’s help

It causes tension at home, especially when Nola takes advantage of all the commotion to take money from the household pot without much consultation to pimp her camper. Nina thinks it is unacceptable that she is embezzling money behind their backs, Bing can only note that it apparently runs in the family.

The atmosphere doesn’t get any better

The atmosphere is so bad that Nola takes her brothers to stay with grandparents. Bing tries to convince Ludo, but when that comes to nothing, he takes a drastic step. He forges Nina’s signature on the application for the bank loan under the motto ‘you secretly, I secretly’.

Nina is called by the bank to verify the signature. She goes along with the lie to prevent the father of her children from disappearing behind bars for forgery. But things have escalated so much at home that Bing is staying with Julian for the time being.

Stefano’s generous gesture

Stefano is so touched by his meeting with Manu’s poor school friend that he and Merel develop an idea for Meerdijk Deelt, a major giveaway for underprivileged people. Companies donate new items that are given away through a raffle. He is completely enthusiastic, but Ludo does not understand that kind of charity.

Stefano wants to set up a charity event.

As far as he is concerned, no one has to be poor in this country, you have to live like it. He also believes that Stefano would be better off spending his time on more sensible things. That causes bad blood, especially when he insinuates that Stefano lives under his roof and is allowed to behave accordingly. It only makes Stefano more driven.

But Ludo thinks about it again and offers to help. However, there is a new problem: Stefano does not submit the permit application on time. When even Ludo cannot come up with anything, Stefano decides to personally convince the councilor at the town hall to give him priority. “One of the advantages of being in a wheelchair,” Stefano laughs scornfully once it has been arranged.

Marwan’s move

Marwan was already keen on it: a romantic weekend in Paris with Tamara to study the hotel where he wants to do his further education. Everything seems fine, but Tamara really can’t go away for a weekend, she has obligations with her husband. It leads to a rift: Marwan’s feelings are hurt and he blames her for never leaving Ewald. He will always come second and Marwan doesn’t want that anymore. Tamara has no choice but to leave.

Steef and Naomi continue

Naomi feels like she can’t do anything right anymore: Marwan, who is already annoyed, barks at her for being lazy and not tidying up her things. She also gets encouragement from Henk because Laura wants to go to Curaçao thanks to her solo to prove that she is not in need of help.

Naomi is fed up with Meerdijk and has a great idea: she and Steef are both taking a gap year and traveling around the world. They really like it, but get into an argument with Julian and Elisa, who both think it would be better for them to finish the academic year first.

Nola’s next step

Nola has big news for Troj: she is on the pill and ready for their first time. She has already arranged everything and can’t wait. The conversation takes a somewhat strange turn when, out of nowhere, Nola gets a severe nosebleed.

Later in the week, Nola thinks that Troj can sleep soundly now that she and her brothers are staying with Ludo and Janine. Ludo puts a stop to this and when he is unable to book a room in De Rozenboom, Nola tries to sneak Troj into the villa. But Janine realizes that.

Nola thinks she is there, but Janine discreetly ensures that she and Troj can spend the night together. Nola looks back on a successful first time, but the next morning Troj notices that she has inexplicable bruises on her body. Nola pays little attention to it, it is probably a side effect of the pill.

Janine is looking for contact

Janine seeks contact with Yvonne now that she knows that she was sexually abused by her brother Willem. She hopes to make a podcast about it and leaves a letter with contact information at her home. All Janine gets is a short video call in which Yvonne debunks everything and asks to be left alone. Janine can’t resist and goes to Yvonne’s house again. No one opens the door, although she thinks someone upstairs is looking through the window. When she watches the call again, she notices a strange hand gesture. It turns out to be an international signal for help.

Laura’s traveling companion

There is no way Julian and Henk can talk Curaçao out of Laura’s mind. But Julian has an idea: doesn’t Janine want to come with her? Laura sees the trick coming from afar, but Janine is decisive and convincing: they go to Linda’s for a week together. Henk is actually calm about it.

Lies from Lopez

Detective Lopez is still in Meerdijk to investigate the death of Billy de Palma. He has shocking news for Shanti: shortly before her death, Billy had her will amended twice. The first time to disinherit Richard because they had separated, but then he was in it again just before her death.

Shanti receives shocking news

Shanti doesn’t understand it and calls her mother’s notary in Paraguay… But that secretly turns out to be Lopez too, pretending he doesn’t understand English. Shanti calls on Lopez’s help to interpret, but the notary is of course unavailable. Then Lopez has another surprise: a photo of Richard at the Paraguay airport, three hours after Billy’s death. So he wasn’t in Miami at all.

Shanti is completely confused and can only keep her calm thanks to Rik. In the meantime, Lopez reports to Ludo, who is extremely satisfied with the progress. With so much doubt sown, it is probably a matter of time before Richard is fired from Palmnoot.

Richard’s discovery

At the end of the week, matters become even more complicated for Shanti when Richard accidentally discovers through waiter Marcel that she is pregnant. He is conveniently told that she is 10 weeks along, after which he does the math and comes to a shocking conclusion: the little one could very well be his.

And further: De Meerdijker is apparently also a newspaper, Nola doesn’t like hot milk at all and Merel does an excellent Julian imitation.
