On Wednesday evening in ‘Blind Gekocht’ we meet a new duo: Heleen and Balder. They want a quiet home in Ghent with the most important requirement: a wide living space surrounded by a garden. Mission impossible according to Kinga, who visits the couple for a reality check.
A new episode of ‘Blind Gekocht’, so also a new duo. This time we are heading again to East Flanders and more specifically to beautiful Ghent, where Balder and Heleen have been looking for the ideal spot for three years. They have a three-year-old son, so they want a quietly located home in the green edge around the city. They have a budget of 530,000 euros for this.
Economize
Their main requirement is a wide living space surrounded by a green garden. And that, according to expert Kinga, is an extremely difficult task, because the region where they are looking is not cheap and that is an understatement. “A large living space means a large home, which means a larger budget,” Kinga concludes. The fact that they are certainly not looking for a small house becomes clear when Balder says that he has a passion for music and would therefore like to have a rehearsal room or music studio in his home.
So it’s high time for Jani to visit the couple with experts Kinga and Dorien. Their question is clear: what can they cut back on? But Heleen and Balder are adamant: ‘We have already made cuts in many areas, so we would rather not see the image of a large living space fall apart.’ Fortunately, Jani has the ‘ideal’ solution: ‘Install lots of mirrors!’
Nightmare
Furthermore, Ingrid (59) discovers her new house. Daughters Sara-Lynn and Ann-Sofie signed their mother up for this adventure, because they know that now that they have left home, Ingrid dreams of returning to her beloved Leuven. According to Kinga, not an easy task, in fact: ‘This is a nightmare for every real estate agent.’ When Ingrid sees her house for the first time, it turns out to be below expectations.
