Joost Klein is the talk of the town. The organization of the Eurovision Song Contest has temporarily suspended Joost because an investigation is underway following a possible incident. That could have serious consequences. In any case, he can’t rehearse. He may also miss his appearance before the jury on Friday, which could cause him to lose out on points. OPEN Vlogger Juri is in Malmö to report on the spectacle and catches up with us.

On social media there are mainly images of Joost Klein during a press conference. He says ‘why not?’ when the Israeli participant does not want to answer about the safety of the candidates. But that already happened on Thursday. According to Juri Lalajants, something else must have happened. “It’s probably about something that happened on Friday, because he did participate in the flag parade at the start of rehearsals.” Juri says that Joost no longer came on stage during the construction of his own song. “Or another delegation must have made a report late, but that seems likely to me.”

For now, Juri and all other journalists and Eurovision goers are mainly waiting for the next response from the EBU: “We just really don’t know what happened, so there is no point in speculating. It doesn’t seem to me that the EBU will keep quiet about what happened.”

In the meantime, all kinds of rumors are going around. For example, Joost Klein is said to have had an argument with a Swedish photographer.

There are also images circulating of an Israeli journalist approaching Joost Klein’s team.
