Welkom in het liveblog van de tweede halve finale van het Eurovisie Songfestival 2024. Mijn naam is Michiel Vos en ik houd jullie via dit liveblog op de hoogte van de gebeurtenissen rondom het Songfestival. Onze verslaggevers Lara Zevenberg en Bas Scharwachter zijn ter plaatse in Malmö. Joost Klein zien we vanavond als zestiende en laatste optreden. Hij neemt het op tegen vijftien andere landen in de strijd om tien finaleplekken.

Joost Klein scored a big hit in the Netherlands and several other European countries with his Eurovision Song Contest song. Of all entries, only Italy has more streams on Spotify. Angelina Mango won the extremely popular San Remo Festival in her own country with La Noia. The song has over 60 million plays. Tonight she will perform during the second semi-final, but her place in the final has already been secured, because Italy will automatically qualify.
