Operation Marhaba is the annual operation that facilitates the return of the Moroccan diaspora to Morocco during the summer months. This year, more than 3 million global Moroccans are expected to visit the kingdom.

To cope with the influx of travelers, the Moroccan government is increasing the capacity of both air and sea shipping. For maritime transport, more than 500,000 passengers are transported each way each week and 4,000 international trips are organised. In terms of air traffic, Tangier Ibn Battuta Airport has increased the number of weekly flights from 300 to 450.

In addition to increasing capacity, the Ministry of Transport is also focusing on the quality of services and the price of tickets. Mohamed Abdeljalil emphasized that there will be competition in services to ensure that prices remain affordable. According to him, the recent price increases are due to the increased demand for tickets.
