Pro-Palestinian demonstrators have also gathered in Utrecht. They first stood on Domplein, where the Academy Building of Utrecht University is located.
Now these demonstrators are walking towards the University Library on the Drift.
Last night, students occupied the library courtyard with a tent camp. The police cleared that occupation during the night.

Demonstrators have been standing in front of a narrow gate for several minutes now to prevent the police from entering the grounds. The riot police stood opposite the group for a while and talked to the demonstrators. Now they are trying to clear the gate and arrest some demonstrators.

The triangle (police, Public Prosecution Service and mayor) has indications that not only demonstrating students are occupying the university grounds. According to the police, there are also people who are not affiliated with the university and deliberately want to confront the police.

Shovel and riot police are ready near occupied UvA grounds
About twenty police and mobile unit vans are stationed near the barricade. There is also a shovel ready that is driven by a police officer, a reporter from the news agency sees ANP. A police spokesperson says that the triangle has not yet given an evacuation order.

Hundreds of people occupy UvA grounds
There are hundreds of people present on the Binnengasthuis grounds in Amsterdam. Many people demonstrate outside the barricade that demonstrators have set up. The demonstrators hold up scarves and umbrellas so that the media present cannot take images. There are also people standing on the roof and shouting pro-Palestinian slogans.

UvA board in conversation with activists
The consultation between the board of the University of Amsterdam and the pro-Palestinian demonstrators occupying the Binnengasthuis site has not yet resulted in any concrete agreements this afternoon. The discussions continued at 4 p.m.
