The Emerald van’t Ruytershof daughter, Nice van’t Zorgvliet, bred by André Braeckevelt, put her best foot forward in the Grand Prix of Mannheim under German rider Christian Kukuk and jumped to the podium in this final.

An internationally busy week in Mannheim, Germany concluded with the CSIO3* 1.60m Grand Prix. Just under fifty riders and horses came to give their best one last time, ten of whom were able to secure a place in the jump-off. Richard Vogel secured a home victory in the saddle of Cydello and brought the 10-year-old son of Cascadello clear to the finish line in 41.74s. Kukuk was hot on their heels with the 11-year-old BWP mare, but had to settle for silver with 42.49 seconds on the clock. Wilma Hellström put a stop to an entire German podium and brought Cicci BJN (Ci Ci Senjor Ask) to third place in 45.06s.

Within the top ten, another offspring of Emerald van’t Ruytershof stood out and the 9-year-old Zangersheide gelding Exclusive finished eighth with Alexander Schill. A jumping fault kept the 13-year-old BWP mare Laurien van Orshof (H&M Cabrio vd Heffinck), a breeding product from the stables of Michael Van Orshoven, with Linda Heed from the jump-off. The mare was previously seen working under the brothers Thibault and Olivier Philippaerts.
