Nintendo has announced Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition. Based on a rare game from the ’90s, this Switch game features mini-games based on classic NES games such as Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda and Metroid.

Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition consists of over 150 different mini-games. These mini-games, in turn, are ‘bite-sized pieces’ of 13 different NES games. Players must complete those challenges as quickly as possible and compete among themselves for the best time. The game will have a single-player mode, but will also support local multiplayer with up to eight players. Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can submit their best times to weekly leaderboards.

The game will be released on Nintendo eShop on July 18. This digital version of the game costs 30 euros. There will also be a physical Deluxe Edition on the same date with a gold NES replica cartridge celebrating the original Nintendo World Championships game and some illustration cards. That edition costs 60 euros.
