Last year we already had the opportunity to introduce Undead Inc. from developer Rightsized Games. Now that the release has arrived, we can get started with the game ourselves and start our own business. In Undead Inc. you are a director who takes charge of a pharmaceutical company called Endswell Medical Corporation.

A tutorial teaches you the tricks of the trade and this is spread over two sandbox folders. After this you can get started with the career mode and you will soon realize that the tutorial only explained a tip of the mechanics. Here and there you miss crucial explanations or knowledge to be successful with the company. The difficulty compared to the tutorial is also a lot higher.

You always start in the same way and that is by building a solid foundation with medical practices to receive and heal the sick. Gradually you try to conduct research into new medications that you can then sell for a nice profit. However, the profit is not immense and the black market is where the big money is. You can provide different areas with rooms that serve a specific purpose, both legally and illegally, because selling things on the black market is of course not legal.

In addition to legal medication, you can also provide illegal medication or even deadly viruses and equipment such as face masks. You can be naughty and also research, produce and sell weapons, but this can quickly get you into trouble. You must take into account your own employees where a whistleblower could expose your illegal practices. It is important to look carefully at the statistics of your staff to be recruited, but you also have potential attention from the local population, police and media. The more illegal things you do, the faster a group will become suspicious and try to find out what you are doing.

You have different types of staff, each focusing specifically on a craft. Some are needed to staff a space and they automatically look for work. Compared to the tutorial, they are slower, get tired much faster and we did experience some issues with doing work. As a result, you can never really make progress, because your staff takes breaks every now and then.

You have an amount that you have to put on the table in a certain number of days, but that is simply unachievable due to your staff. The game is also full of bugs, such as staff members not dying or security guards missing targets and then dying within seconds. Your doctors are also more likely to make a wrong diagnosis, causing you to lose money every time. The black market is where the money is, but an employee has to be present 24/7 or it’s gone, so you can never really make money.
