Todd Howard announced the news during an interview with the YouTube channel Kinda Funny Games. Not much is known about the DLC yet. According to Bethesda, it will include “new story content, new locations, new gear and more.” Shattered Space was announced last year. Then Bethesda said that the DLC will be released in 2024, but until now it was not known when.

In addition to Shattered Space, Howard also says that there will be a major update for Starfield “soon.” He doesn’t say much about that either. According to the Bethesda CEO, there will be improved maps and maps for cities, new gameplay options and players can set new visual settings on consoles. There will also be improvements for building spaceships. Finally, Howard says more information about the Starfield Creation Kit will be coming soon. This means the game will receive official mod support.
