Apple is reportedly cutting its Vision Pro orders for this year and reconsidering the next model due to low demand.

The long-awaited Apple Vision Pro was released in February this year in the American market for a price tag of $ 3,499. The circulation of these VR glasses was already very small by Apple’s standards, but it now appears that the scarcity is not so scarce after all. According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple may have reduced its Vision Pro orders for this year due to low demand, resulting in a reconsideration for the next model.

Reconsideration

Orders for the Apple Vision Pro are said to have been reduced to 400-450 units, compared to the market consensus of 700-800 units or more, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo wrote in a blog post. This reduction will take place before the Vision Pro appears in non-US markets.

Kuo also writes that Apple is in the process of adjusting its HMD product roadmap, and there may not be a new Vision Pro model in 2025. According to him, the low demand reflects on market expectations in the industry, with the result that demand for certain VR and AR-specific products may not reach the level of acceptance required to go into mass production.
