RSC Anderlecht took part in the Future Cup in Amsterdam this weekend. The very renowned tournament at De Toekomst van Ajax. The Purple & White finished in fourth place.

Lost semi-final against Partizan

Anderlecht managed to qualify for the semi-finals after victories against Sporting CP and PSG, and a defeat against FC Nordsjaelland. There they met Partizan Belgrade.

RSC Anderlecht started against Partizan Belgrade and was the better team. However, they had difficulty with the physical play of the Serbs. Anderlecht played at the Future Cup with a very young team, including five boys from 2009. Partizan Belgrade was more clever and managed to score twice.

Very young Anderlecht loses to PSG

Anderlecht played the consolation final against PSG, which they had to beat 3-2 the day before. That consolation final was scheduled almost immediately after the semi-final against Partizan Belgrade.

The people of Brussels took the lead through Gabriel Biladi (14), but the Parisians quickly scored twice afterwards: 2-1. A very young Anderlecht, where several 14-year-old players played at this U17 tournament.
