It is the 250th victory for Vos, the second this season. At the end of last month she won the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad (WT). After Monique van de Ree (2012), Kirsten Wild (2013), Amy Pieters (2014, 2015, 2016), Ellen van Dijk (2018, 2019), Annemiek van Vleuten (2021) and Demi Vollering (2023), she is the seventh Dutch on the honors list.

Only twice was the competition not won by a Dutch person. The Finnish Lotta Lepistö (2017) and the Italian Chiara Consonni (2022) made sure of this.

1. Marianne Vos

2. Shirin van Anrooij

3. Letizia Paternoster +20”

4. Lotte Kopecky

5. Puck Pieterse

6. Elisa Longo Borgini

7. Chiari Consonni +51”

8. Arlenis Sierra Canadilla

9. Lucinda Brand

10. Julie De Wilde

The Dutch glutton now also has Dwars door Vlaanderen to her name. She beats Shirin van Anrooij in the sprint. Third place goes to the Italian Letizia Paternoster. Lotte Kopecky just misses the podium. Fact: it is the 250th professional victory for Marianne Vos.

Red rag It won’t work for Kopecky, Pieterse, Paternoster and Longo Borghini. They compete for third place.

Last convulsion KopeckyThe world champion has not yet given up. She leaves Pieterse behind and comes awfully close to Paternoster and Longo Borghini. Is there more to it?

Longo Borghini wants moreShirin van Anrooij’s Italian teammate wants to be on the podium. She leaves her companions behind and comes very close to the two leaders. She does bring Letizia Paternoster. Suddenly everything is on a handkerchief again. There should be no more doubts up front.

HerlegemstraatLotte Kopecky gets one more cobblestone section to limit the damage. The world champion still shakes her thighs on the cobblestones of this rocky stretch. Vos and Van Anrooij have a bonus of 20 seconds.

Kopecky has to do it aloneIn the background, Lotte Kopecky has to do the chasing work on her own. She pushes hard for the last passage on Nokereberg. It does not seem to be enough to close the gap on Vos and Van Anrooij. Have the two Dutch birds started flying?

Attack of AnrooijShirin van Anrooij tries to exploit the surplus at the front of Lidl-Trek. She jumps away and takes a few lengths. Marianne Vos goes after her compatriot. There is some doubt behind the two.

Stable leadThe peloton is not getting any closer. The winner of this edition of DDV sits in the front.

Half a minute The difference between the six leaders and the peloton is up to half a minute. In the background, the Italian Silvia Persico tries to set the tone, but we fear it is in vain.

NokerebergThe six leaders are on their way to Nokereberg. Things aren’t really going smoothly at the front. Van Anrooij tries to keep things going. The peloton comes back to within 15 seconds.

Very strong KopeckyIn one go, the world champion closes the gap on the five. We have a leading group of six with Kopercky, Vos, Longo Borghini, Van Anrooij, Pieterse and Paternoster. The peloton follows at 25 seconds.

Lidl TrekVan Anrooij and Longo Borgini shook the tree again. Vos, Paternoster and Pieterse smell the danger. Kopecky keeps his legs still for the time being.

RegroupingThe attack was in vain. We expect action again on the cobblestones of Doorn and the Huisepontweg.

AttackThe big guns are stirring. We get a group with Kopecky, Vos, Bredewold, Van Empel, Longo Borghini, Van Anrooij, Kastelijn and Pieterse.

Compact groupDue to the strange developments of this race, we continue with a compact group. It now remains to be seen how this course will develop further.
