Never happened before in ‘Farmer seeks wife’: farmer Sanne quits and sends her men home

In Gierle, farmer chooses Niels (32) with whom he wants to go on a romantic trip: Astrid or Sylvie. Astrid has the feeling that she grew closer to Niels during her date in Bobbejaanland. “Our date was a lot of fun, but I have a hard time reading it. When there are three of us, I end up in the background. I tend to be more reserved, while Sylvie seizes her moments. I have the feeling that Niels has made his choice a long time ago. I notice that in spontaneous moments he leans more towards Sylvie than towards me.” Sylvie herself also has a premonition that Niels will choose her. “Everything has been really cool, I have a good feeling. We show each other that we like each other. Right now it is purely friendly, but there may be a chance for more.”

The ladies are right, because Niels resolutely chooses Sylvie. “I had a preference for her from the beginning. That’s why it was difficult to continue to divide the attention, I can’t keep hiding that. Her humor, being silly together…: that appeals to me. I am ready for a new relationship, I want to try it with Sylvie,” he says to Dina. Astrid is at peace with his choice. “He has to go with his feelings. They are very welcome.” Niels and Sylvie travel to South Tyrol in Italy. “I’m really looking forward to it, but we may have to open up more.”

No false hope

And also in Bocholt she has to be a farmer Sanne (33) make a choice. Both Robin and Boris would like to go on a romantic trip with her. “I have shown that I am interested. She is a dream woman. I can see myself hanging on the sofa with her in the evening after a hard day at work,” an emotional Boris tells Dina. The moment of choice is also extremely nerve-wracking for Robin. “I’m crazy about Sanne, I would be very sad if I had to leave. If she chooses me, my heart will beat even faster.” But Sanne thinks differently about that. “I feel that Boris and Robin are starting to have feelings, so I find it very difficult to make a choice and to disappoint someone. It remains difficult for me to open up. That’s why I decided not to go on a romantic trip, I wouldn’t be able to handle that,” Sanne confesses.

“I encountered myself here,” Sanne continues. “I have already taken some steps forward, but I realize that I am not yet far enough. I also don’t want to give false hope by going on a romantic trip with someone. Then I wouldn’t seem sincere. For me it stops here.” Both Robin and Boris understand her decision and admire her choice. But Robin in particular has a hard time with the fact that nothing can work out with Sanne. “I will never forget her in my life. I have never met such a lady before,” he says with tears in his eyes. “She is going to have a place in my heart,” Boris adds. Boris and Robin find comfort in each other. Sanne herself feels relieved now that the adventure stops for her. “I learned a lot about myself. Maybe it will help me to open up in the future.”

Flax farmer Bert (28) can go out with 27-year-old Melissa, a kindergarten teacher from Harelbeke. The two immediately hit it off during a game of petanque. “Bert is a spontaneous and cheerful boy. I immediately feel at ease. I think it would click.” “It’s great that she is competitive and goes for it completely. She is a fast and has a beautiful figure. A normal good West Flemish. I think it was the best date so far, I would love to see them again.” Like Bert, Melissa has not yet had a steady relationship. Melissa would also like to get to know Bert better.

First night together

Between farmer Robbe (29) and Branko continues to burn the fire of love. The lovebirds spend their first night together in a romantic hotel in Sweden. Kisses are exchanged to the heart’s content and hints at more. “But you shouldn’t expect too much tonight, it will remain quiet,” laughs Robbe. “It’s our first night together. I wonder what that will feel like when you’ve been alone for so long,” says Branko. However, their fairytale dinner – with bear as a delicacy on the menu – is disrupted by a phone call. “Now that we are in a different environment, it is easier to forget about the farm. But even in pleasant moments I can be disturbed, I am never completely free. But we have a very strong foundation, I really want to make this work. On the one hand, it is wonderful what is happening now, on the other hand, I am afraid of losing this,” says Robbe.

Jitters for farmer Martijn

Farmer Michael (27) goes out with the electric scooter with his three ladies Rune, Anouchka and Kato. “Michiel brings out my adventurous side, I didn’t know I had that,” Rune laughs. It turns out to click well. Both Michiel and Rune are very direct and open in their communication. “I don’t want a jealous type. I have friends with whom I meet up,” says Michiel. Anouchka remains the quietest of the group, but she does not make herself known on the farm. “Just because I look like a pop comedian doesn’t mean I’m afraid to get my hands dirty. I want to prove that to Michiel by cleaning the cows’ udders,” says Anouchka. The three ladies also get to know Michiel’s brother.

For her date with farmer Martijn (35), Chrissy chooses to go for a walk. “You are a beautiful, caring woman. I feel good with you, you are very open, but I still have to think about whether there is a future for us. You are softer than Lisanne.” “I think Lisanne is too busy, but that’s everyone’s choice. I think I am the better choice,” Chrissy laughs. Martijn more or less reassures her. “I think my sister’s opinion is important. She thinks that Lisanne will overwhelm me and that your character would suit me more. You are a cool person, with a positive appearance. I would be proud to have you by my side. I like your giggles too. Only the lack of experience on a farm is a downside, but there are solutions for that,” says Martijn. Chrissy is positively surprised. “That’s good to hear. It makes me shy,” she responds. “In terms of appearance, you are also completely my type. And in terms of character, I haven’t discovered anything that bothers me yet.”

Jitters at Lisanne

Lisanne takes farmer Martijn to her farm in the Netherlands. “A good idea to come here and see how she lives and lives. It is completely blossoming here,” says Martijn. “I can be myself most here, I am happy to be back home,” says Lisanne, who introduces Martijn to her parents. “Martijn is a quiet boy. I see a match with Lisanne,” Martijn’s mother responds. However, Martijn does not show his cards. “The question is: will I be able to handle doing a farm with my partner? Or am I looking for a woman with her own job?” Lisanne does not understand why he remains so superficial. “It seems harsh to me that you don’t know who would fit into his future. I feel jitters, but if he would show that he wants to continue with me, my feelings would grow even more.”
