TV‘Love for music’ was entirely dedicated to Clouseau on Tuesday evening. The hits of Koen (56) and Kris Wauters (59) were tackled by Stan Van Samang, Laura Tesoro, Suzan & Freek, K3, Jasper Steverlinck, Tourist LeMC, Regi and Johannes Genard from School is Cool.

This week brought Laura Tesoro an impressive performance with her English version of ‘Stil’. She especially managed to touch Koen. The singer wrote the song about the difficult period after his divorce from Valerie De Booser and is extremely grateful to Laura for her version. “I was really impressed by your performance,” he said.

In the previous episode K3 another surprising version of ‘Beast’ with a sensual twist, where Hanne, Marthe and Julia performed in pitch black latex dresses and made K3 18+. But on Tuesday evening they took a different approach. No K3 for adults, but a moving version of the Clouseau song ‘Vanbinnen’.

Laura didn’t keep it dry this time either during the performance Suzan & Freek. The musical duo performed a beautiful version of ‘Passion’.

And also Reg managed to turn ‘I don’t want you to leave’ into a real Regi hit. Thanks to the exciting beats and beautiful voices of Pauline Snakes and Maxine it was impossible to sit still. “I just can’t believe this,” Kris said enthusiastically.

Tourist LeMC gave ‘Moped’ a new twist. From the first few seconds he drew his audience into the story of this summer song. Kris described the cover as “a beautiful gift”.

Johannes Genard surprised by singing his girlfriend’s favorite song: ‘Ocher’. This song, from 1995, dates from the early years of Koen and Kris. With his unique interpretation of this nostalgic song, he managed to touch the hearts of his fellow candidates and Clouseau.

Jasper Steverlinck also managed to enchant with his characteristic voice and impressive high notes. To his great surprise, he chose to simply sing ‘Domino’ in Dutch.

Stan Van Samang went looking for a song “about respect and how much more beautiful the world would be if we were a little nicer and more tolerant of each other.” That’s why he chose ‘The Opposing Party’. “The song starts with one particular note, which has been played enough and we’re not going to do that. Everything else is,” the singer says about his version, which, according to Jasper, is reminiscent of U2.

And Clouseau yourself? They returned to season 3 for their tribute song, where they scored with their version of Natalia’s ‘I Want You Back’. It was the perfect moment to perform this song again.

‘Love for music’ can be seen every Tuesday at 8.40 pm on VTM and VTM GO.
