Fans of singer Pommelien Thijs have made it clear what they think of the famous singer Marco Borsato during her concerts in the Netherlands. They did this by responding to a line from one of her songs.

Pommelien Thijs is not only extremely popular in our country. Our northern neighbors also like it. Especially the song Now that we don’t talk anymore that she made together with Jaap Reesema is well known in the Netherlands.

And the response to the song has been striking. The first sentence of the song is ‘Do you still sing along to Marco’s songs?’. This refers to the famous Dutch singer Marco Borsato. And the audience is clear. They no longer sing along to Borsato songs.

After the first sentence of the song, Thijs pointed the microphone towards the audience and a clear “no” came from the audience. This was the case during her shows in Weert and Utrecht.

Not very unexpected in itself. Marco Borsato is being prosecuted for sexually abusing a then-underage girl. The young woman accused Borsato in 2021 and accused him of assaulting her when she was fifteen years old. The singer was a friend of the girl’s parents.

And that’s not the only thing. In 2021, rumors also emerged about inappropriate behavior by Borsato, among others The Voice of Holland. He allegedly groped candidates and employees, but the case was dismissed due to lack of evidence.
