Makaveli Lindén (23), the suspect in the murder of Johanna Jostameling (58) from Mechelen, will soon be extradited to our country. This is confirmed by the public prosecutor’s spokesperson in Antwerp Lieselotte Claessens.

“We will do everything we can to ensure that the extradition takes place quickly,” said Claessens, who points out that there are no longer any legal obstacles in the way. Norway would have imposed the condition that Lindén may not end up in a prison here, but in an institution with the necessary guidance.
In 2018 Johanna Jostameling was found dead in her apartment in Mechelen. She had died from multiple stabbings. Investigators identified a young Swede as a suspect, who was also wanted for a previous murder. In the end, the boy was arrested in France and handed over to Norway.
It is not clear when the young man will be transferred to Belgium.
