Exciting times are coming for the best football players in our country. At the end of this month, national coach Domenico Tedesco will announce which Red Devils can prepare for the upcoming European Football Championship in Germany. 26 players may be selected for that tournament.

UEFA Euro 2024 is coming. The European Football Championship will start in Germany on May 14. Belgium will open its European Championship on Monday June 17 in Frankfurt against Slovakia. Romania will face Romania in Cologne on Saturday, June 22, close to home. The last match of the group stage for the Red Devils will take place on Wednesday, June 26 in Stuttgart against Ukraine.

Selection

In addition to our opponents in the group stage, we now also know the equipment with which the Red Devils will compete at the European Championship. As a result, the countdown is now in full swing until the selection is announced. At the request of various national coaches, UEFA decided to increase the number of players to be selected from 23 to 26. This means that Tedesco has more options in his selection.

The KBVB announced that the selection will be announced on Tuesday, May 28. That is well before the June 7 deadline set by UEFA.

Practice matches

The Belgian European Championship selection is expected together on May 31 and will train for the first time on June 1. After that, two more practice matches are planned in the King Baudouin Stadium. Belgium will host Montenegro there on June 5 and Luxembourg will visit on June 8. Finally, on June 12, the Belgian team will travel to Germany.
