WE for Wijnegem, in which the former Open Vld and CD&V work together, will start their campaign for the local elections on Monday evening, May 13… in café De Sax.
The supra-local elections are rapidly approaching, but hard work is also being done at local level. The new project, We for Wijnegem, wants to listen to Wijnegem residents and thus discuss and develop a vision and concrete ideas together for the new legislature.
“We want to do this in a very accessible way,” says chairman Tom de Maesschalk. “We want to do this by talking in a casual way with everyone with a commitment and a heart for our municipality.”
That is why the party invites all interested parties on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 8 p.m. to Café Studio De Sax on the Turnhoutsebaan to exchange ideas together over a pint or a soft drink.
“The aim is to bring together people who want to contribute to a Wijnegem where life is good,” says Vik Werrebroeck. “We do not oblige anyone to necessarily buy a party card, for example.”
“We want to focus on the needs and wishes of Wijnegem residents and work more transparently,” concludes Tom de Maesschalk. “After all, governance is not only done from the town hall, but with the people together.”(yeah)
