Netflix will soon become 1 to 2 euros more expensive in Belgium. The streaming service itself announced this. The cheapest subscription costs 9.99 euros per month.
Netflix has just announced that subscriptions in Belgium are becoming more expensive. This is the first price increase in our country since the end of 2021. According to the streaming service, the higher subscription costs are necessary because Netflix continues to invest in new series, programs and films.
The price increase takes effect immediately for new customers. Existing customers will receive an email with the new amount of their subscription and the date on which this price increase will take effect. Anyone who wants to cancel their subscription can do so free of charge.
New subscription prices
The price increase at Netflix applies to all subscription formulas. The cheapest Basicsubscription becomes 1 euro more expensive until 9.99 euros per month. To do this, you can watch all content in HD on one device at the same time.
It Standardsubscription will be 1.5 euros more expensive and will cost from now on 14.99 euros per month. You can watch a total of two screens simultaneously and all content is available in Full HD.
The most expensive subscription, Premiumeven becomes 2 euros more expensive and now costs 19.99 euros per month. You can watch on up to four screens in Ultra HD with spatial audio.
With Standard and Premium you also have the option to add an extra member to the subscription for 3.99 euros. Netflix introduced this measure when it decided to take tougher action against sharing passwords. One such additional subscriber can be added to Standard, and even two to Premium.
