Baker Tilly has appointed Olivier Willems as the company’s very first CEO in Belgium.
Olivier Willems has been working at the accounting and consultancy firm within the Corporate Finance practice since 2017. In recent years he was active as a partner and member of the board. He also heads the EMEA Corporate Finance community within the international Baker Tilly network.
In his new role as CEO, Willems leads a team of approximately 210 professionals spread across offices in Aalst, Brussels, Ghent, Liège, Mechelen, Waregem and Zele.

For Baker Tilly, the appointment of a CEO is an important milestone in its growth ambitions. The agency is one of the 10 largest players in business consultancy internationally, but in Belgium the agency is lagging behind competitors in terms of size. In recent years, a lot of work has been done to close this gap, with turnover increasing by 50% in three years to more than €25 million.
Willems says he is aiming for further growth. “The landscape and the sector we are in are constantly changing in terms of innovation and digitalization. Moreover, we see a gigantic consolidation movement in the market. However, at Baker Tilly we remain convinced of the importance of sustainable organic growth. We want to remain relevant and leading and are therefore continuously working on the company.”
