Tesla will exhibit Cybertruck in Belgium

--

Tesla will exhibit the Cybertruck at selected locations and events in Europe. It is Belgium’s turn on May 17 and 18: the Cybertruck will be in Brussels.

Tesla started deliveries of the Cybertruck in the US in December. Several thousand Cybertrucks are now driving around there. The pickup truck is not yet for sale in Europe. Tesla says it must first increase production. Production of the Cybertruck would not be at full speed until 2025, CEO Elon Musk said at the end of last year. However, the EV will be on display at European locations and events in the near future, as part of the Cyber Odyssey.

Cyber Odyssey

The pickup truck can be seen in more than a hundred locations between now and July 7. Not at the same time: you can find out where the Cybertruck will be exhibited via the Cyber Odyssey website. In Belgium, the EV can be seen on May 17 and 18 in the Brussels Drogenbos. During these events, the public can become acquainted with the functions, specifications and technologies of the EV.

As examples, Tesla cites the unprecedentedly fast acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, the unique materials from which the Cybertruck is made and the rear-wheel steering. According to the manufacturer, this makes the turning circle of the pickup truck “smaller than that of most sedans.”

Cybertruck for sale in Europe?

Ultimately, it is mainly about the connection with Cyber Odyssey. The design of the Cybertruck is inspired by the cyberpunk design language, known from films such as The Spy Who Loved Me. The Cybertruck is not yet for sale here, and it is unclear whether that will ever be the case.

The company has also not yet announced a timeline for the pickup’s launch outside the US. That is not surprising: you hardly see pick-up trucks on European roads. Moreover, the question is whether the EV is allowed on the road here. The sharp creases of the bodywork pose a potential hazard to other road users.
