Electro Depot, the Belgian price cracker in the field of electrical equipment, will use the Shopopop platform to deliver their small orders to people’s homes on the same day.

The electrical chain already works with Shopopop in its 51 French stores. With this new service, Electro Depot can deliver to its customers the same day. Electro Depot set foot in Belgium in 2015 and now has 14 stores spread throughout Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels.

Shopopop offers last-mile delivery using crowdshipping. Private individuals take packages or groceries for other private individuals, on routes that they would normally take.

First five stores will start (Gosselies, Wilrijk, Anderlecht, Chatelineau, Evere), after which the other stores will also start. The chain charges 10.95 euros for this.

Shopopop (145 employees), was founded in Nantes in April 2016 by Johan Ricaut and Antoine Cheul and calls itself the European leader in the field of home delivery between private individuals. After an initial fundraising of 4 million euros in January.

Shopopop today has more than 1.5 million users. In 2023, Shopopop made more than 3 million deliveries for 6,000 partner stores (Carrefour, Colruyt, Casino, E.Leclerc, Intermarché, Magasins U, Eram, Bureau Vallée, Biocoop, L’Eau Vive, Jeff de Bruges, etc.).
