Are you still looking for flowers, plants or garden herbs for your garden or on your terrace? Then on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 April you can visit the horticulture students of De Leerexpert during their annual plant sale at Wandeldijk 17 on Linkeroever.

“Plant sales have now become a permanent tradition at our school,” says Jan Lorein, coordinator of the horticulture course. “Our students learn how to grow plants, and those plants then end up in the gardens and on the terraces of the people of Antwerp.”

There will be a varied selection, from classic plants from grandmother’s garden to contemporary varieties and species. The students also sell filled hanging pots and potting soil.

Those who cannot come to the plant weekend can still buy plants by appointment afterwards. This is possible by appointment from Thursday, May 2 to Friday, May 17. You can reserve a time slot via this link.

De Leerexpert is an exceptional secondary school (BuSo) in Deurne, Antwerp, with branches on the Linkeroever and in Brasschaat. The young people at this school are between 13 and 21 years old. The students of the horticulture course in Deurne are prepared to be able to integrate smoothly into the regular living and working environment later as adults.(N.D.)
