Halle

From April 2 to June 9, train passengers between Halle and Brussels-Midi must take adjusted train traffic into account. Infrabel is carrying out modernization works on this railway line.

The infrastructure manager is renewing part of the rail infrastructure over a distance of eight kilometers between Vorst and Buizingen. In total, almost 14,000 new sleepers and 10,000 tons of ballast, the bed of pebbles on which the rails lie, must be provided to replace the existing infrastructure components. According to Infrabel, the works are necessary to continue to guarantee the safety and continuity of train traffic.

In order to be able to carry out the works properly in complete safety, train traffic between Brussels South and Halle will be adjusted from April 2 to June 9. In addition, a series of trains will operate on six weekends (April 6-7, April 13-14, April 20-21, May 4-5, May 18-19, June 1-2) and two public holidays (May 1 and May 9). this route will be replaced by buses.
