Time flies! The royal wedding from William and Kate is over a decade ago. This year, the Prince and Princess of Wales celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary. On April 29, 2011, the two tied the knot at Westminster Abbey. Their wedding was one of the biggest royal events we’ve experienced in recent years. So it’s no surprise that we still talk about it today.
From Kate’s iconic wedding dress to the guest list and the royal traditions they broke, it was all equally lavish and grand. More than 1,900 people attended the ceremony at Westminster Abbey and a ‘smaller’ group of 600 people was invited to a lunchtime reception at Buckingham Palace. For dinner, the guest list was halved again – although you can still fill an entire ballroom with 300 guests.
