Prince Harry was back in England this week for the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games. During a service in St Paul’s Cathedral, Harry could count on little interest from those close to him. However, there are two family members who were present at Harry’s milestone.
Back in England
As mentioned, Prince Harry was back in his native country on Wednesday. He attended a service in London’s St Paul’s Cathedral to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games. Even though Harry was in London, a meeting with his father failed to materialize. A spokesperson for the prince said that this was due to King Charles’ full schedule. The British monarch organized a garden party at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday afternoon, attended by several family members.

Warm reunion with the Spencer family
So Prince Harry’s milestone was not attended by members of the royal family. Fortunately, Harry was not completely alone on Wednesday, because some family from his mother’s side was present. Earl Charles Spencer and Lady Jane Fellowes, the brother and sister of the late Princess Diana, were in the cathedral to support their cousin. Upon entering, there was a warm meeting between Harry and his aunt and uncle.

It was at St Paul’s Cathedral that Prince Harry hugged his aunt and uncle. The cathedral may have brought back memories for Harry, because it was here that his parents got married. On July 29, 1981, Charles and Diana tied the knot in front of the world.

The Invictus Games
Ten years ago, The Invictus Games were created by Prince Harry. The annual sporting event was founded for soldiers and veterans who have been injured, mentally or physically, during their service. The Invictus Games are organized in a different city every year. The event took place in The Hague in 2022. King Willem-Alexander, Princess Margriet and Prince Pieter-Christiaan also took a look at the games.
