Netflix has lifted the veil on the highly anticipated second season of Wednesday. And that bodes well.

The most important news for now is that the composition of the cast of this spin-off of The Addams family was shaken vigorously. Jenna Ortega, who has also been a producer from the second season, once again stars as Wednesday. She will be joined by Steve Buscemi, known for The big lewbowski, Boardwalk empire and Reservoir dogs. Billie Piper acted for many years Doctor Who. Catherine Zeta-Jones had a small part last time, but he now has a much bigger role.

It also features guest roles from British icon Joanna Lumley (The Avengers, Absolutely fabulous), Christopher Lloyd (Back to the future), Thandiwe Newton (Pursuit of happiness)Frances O’Connor (The conjuring) and Haley Joel Osment (The sixth sense).

Roles deleted

Because the share of some actors increased and there were also new actors, three important players were removed from the first season. These are Percy Hynes White (student Xavier Thorpe), Jamie McShane and Naomi J Ogawa (Yoko Tanaka). Although McShane will briefly reprise the role of Sheriff Donovan Galpin to complete the storyline. After all, he played an important role in last season’s cliffhanger.

Production of the second season is now in full swing in Ireland. This time there would be less focus on relationships, and more on horror. The recordings are happening much later than planned, because they were postponed for months due to the strike in Hollywood. The first episode Here we woo again will be directed by none other than Tim Burton.
