Glennis Grace finds it “painful” that she has been kicked out of Ladies of Soul. After an absence of a few years, Trijntje Oosterhuis will replace the 45-year-old artist in the singing formation.

“I love those girls and I always will, but that doesn’t change the fact that what is happening now is painful,” Grace said on Tuesday. Show news. Ladies of Soul now consists of Oosterhuis, Edsilia Rombley, Berget Lewis and Candy Dulfer.

The previous Ladies of Soul concert series in 2022 was canceled after negative publicity surrounding Grace. That year, the singer was sentenced to two hundred hours of community service due to a violent incident in a supermarket. The current members of the group said on Tuesday that the “good feeling” to continue with Grace was not yet there.

The news did not come as a surprise to Grace, but she still found it a difficult day. She would have liked to see it differently. “I was part of the group and maybe it’s easy for me to say it, but I would never have done it that way myself.”

The singer finds the decision “very painful”, and she would have liked a second chance. Still, she wishes her former colleagues the best of luck. “I hope it will be a great show and even though I won’t be there, I wish them the world.”

Ladies of Soul was founded as an occasional formation in 2012. At the time, the group consisted of Lewis, Rombley, Grace, Oosterhuis and Dulfer. From 2014 to 2019, the Ladies of Soul gave several concerts every year in the Ziggo Dome.
