(Re)new(ed) brand, new name

Youfone customers had undoubtedly already noticed: Youfone is now called yoin. The cause of this name change lies with our northern neighbors. The major telecom player KPN took over Youfone Netherlands and this also involved a rebranding, including a name change.

Youfone customers were told that they “continue to enjoy the best price on the best network”. And the latter is certainly true: the Proximus network, which yoin uses for its services, has been named the best mobile network in Belgium by Testaankoop for three years in a row.

also look at: on this page you will find yoin’s current offering for mobile and fixed internet.

Great discount for new customers

Telecom operators have promotions at any time. For example, at yoin we see that new customers receive a 50 percent discount during the first three months. A subscription with 20 GB mobile data and unlimited calling and texting will only cost you 6 euros per month. In addition, you will receive a one-off discount of 10 euros via Independer.be. All together you save 28 euros during the first three months.

What after the welcome discount?

If you want to get the most out of it, it is best to compare the operators, prices and promos again after those three months. This brings us to Flash, the mobile phone subscription from energy supplier Mega. A subscription with 15 GB and unlimited calling normally costs 17 euros per month, but currently only 12.01 euros for the first two months: the same as the standard subscription cost at yoin, but with more mobile data. After those two months you can switch to yoin again. As a new yoin customer you can save 28 euros and then enjoy 3 GB extra per month for two months for the same price.

And what about existing yoin customers?

They do not benefit from the promotional price during the first three months, but through a temporary switch to Flash they do enjoy 15 GB per month for two months for the same price they pay at yoin.

Do they have any other options? There are currently no interesting promos for an offer similar to that of yoin, unless you have no problem with sacrificing your monthly calling minutes and data volume.

Comparing your telecom formulas often enough pays off: this is how you score the best discounts.
