The Diepenbeek IT company Datalink has been acquired. Co-founder Danny Daniëls will remain on board with the new owner Axi Digital, while colleague Karen Dendas will focus on other projects.

Datalink has been a trusted IT partner for (mainly) Limburg SME entrepreneurs for almost 16 years. The company conducts audits, implements applications and develops software. The group will now be owned by Axi, a sector peer that is active in both Belgium and the Netherlands. Through the acquisition, the company also wants to gain a foothold in Limburg.

Karen Dendas shares her perspective: “When we founded Datalink, our vision for the future was clear: to build a new building in a prime location, put together a dedicated team and help realize the digital transformation of several hundred SMEs in a qualitative way.” Danny Daniëls, also co-founder of Datalink, adds: “Almost sixteen years later, our ambitious vision has become reality. We therefore surrounded ourselves with a new management team, and we found that at Axi because Axi opted for local roots As an IT service provider, we can remain active close to our customers and still exchange expertise with the entire group. I will remain active within Datalink. Karen will focus on new projects.”
