The first 75 household helpers from Het Poetsbureau, part of the Limburg Glowi group, have just been able to pick up their silver-colored Opel Corsa from Van Mossel. Through the employer, the cleaning ladies can lease their new car cheaper and thus travel to their customers ‘in style’.

“Limited mobility is an important problem in our sector and makes the job of domestic help even more of a bottleneck profession,” says Jo Mellemans, CEO of Glowi Group. “Many employees have difficulty moving efficiently between their different customers, sometimes even in one day. And the lack of mobility is also a barrier for candidate domestic helpers.”

The service voucher company already offers electric bicycles as a solution. In addition, there is the option of affordable private leasing of a car. “75 domestic workers have already accepted this proposal,” says Jo Mellemans. “We want to deliver a total of 400 vehicles by the end of this year. Thanks to our scale, we have been able to negotiate an interesting offer for our employees. They therefore pay a lot less than if they were to take out a leasing program themselves. In addition, we have included an affordable guarantee in the agreement. Thanks to this collaboration between two companies, we can facilitate access to affordable mobility.”

Today, Het Poetsbureau employs 10,000 domestic helpers. Glowi, the group of which the service voucher company is a part, employs 16,000 people.
