Apple has shown that they themselves cannot find a use for it. Every review even from Marques shows nothing new. Yes it is beautiful, yes it is refined, but it remains a product that no one asks about. If even the most die-hard tech fanatics among my circle of friends who invest every cent in the latest tech let their VR sets collect dust, what should I do with them?
I’ve said it several times, but I use Teams a lot myself, I don’t want to wear a headset for a long time to be able to see Jan picking his nose. I don’t want to sit at home on the couch with a headset, watching TV is a relatively social thing with the family and glasses like that only detract from the experience. But even in the professional world you only see VR sporadically penetrating niche areas. It is also not something that can easily be widely supported, I used to work in construction and although VR is nice for sales, it is simply too expensive to purchase and prepare.
But it is a matter of how Apple, despite billions of backing, is unable to put a spin on VR.
