One of the most iconic climbs ever in cycling is Mont Ventoux. Many a story was written on the world-famous flanks of the Tour de France the Giant of Provence. The well-known Flemish sports surgeon Toon Claes has a special bond with the Ventoux and wrote a book about it. Would you like to read the book ‘Enjoy and cycle on and around Mont Ventoux’? Toon Claes, internationally known sports surgeon, climbed Mont Ventoux more than a hundred times, including ten times within 24 hours. He is also the driving force behind the Mon Ventoux – La Cannibale movement campaign, which encourages more than 2,000 Flemish people to climb Mont Ventoux every year. No wonder he is called ‘Monsieur Ventoux’.
