Lesley-Anne Poppe and Jitske Van de Veire in the second season of ‘Chasing beauty’

Streamz is releasing a sequel to the documentary series ‘Chasing beauty’. In it, well-known and lesser-known enthusiasts of aesthetic procedures talk about the beauty ideal. Notable participants are Lesley-Anne Poppe and Jitske Van de Veire.

Lesley-Anne Poppe is not averse to cosmetic surgery, but in Chasing beauty she mainly talks about her experience with Ozempic. A few years ago, the entrepreneur wanted to lose a few kilos and started using the diabetes syringe. “First I had a headache, then I had stomach problems. Then I started throwing up,” she says in a trailer for the documentary. “I was really stupid then.”

Pommeline Tillière and the Dutch Lena Semenova became known through reality programs such as Temptation Island and Ex on the Beach: Double Dutch. Because of their fame, they were offered free procedures. Both say that they naively agreed and now regret the new breasts, buttocks and waist they had fitted. “I look like a waddling duckling. You only see my butt when I walk,” says Lena. Pommeline explains how her buttock implants sometimes rotated in her body. “I can tell you: that is not a sight and it hurts.”

The documentary also follows two unknown newcomers, Benjamin and Joric. The best friends go to Turkey for liposuction and the installation of a six-pack with their own fat after they came across this on social media. They chose their doctor and made the deal via social media.

Jitske Van de Veire tells a different story. She takes office as an advocate of self-love. With her posts on Instagram she wants to counterbalance all the perfect photos. But she also has her insecurities and has had to learn to deal with the negative reactions that people give.

Furthermore, porn star Jada Sparks returns in the second season, just like Amélie. This time Jada has a smaller waist fitted in Seattle. The recovery process is painful and difficult, but she is convinced it is worth it. The porn star has already undergone more than fifty procedures. Amélie showed in the first part of Chasing beauty her breasts and lips enlarged, but she now realizes that plastic surgery does not make her happier.
