Noa Lang (24) immediately won the national title in his first year with PSV. Although Lang’s contribution was overall meager due to persistent injuries. The Dutch former Club Brugge player shared his thoughts on Instagram: “Mistakes have been made, but I don’t blame anyone.”
Noa Lang (finally) completed his transfer last summer and exchanged Bruges for Eindhoven. At the beginning of the season he was able to make his mark at PSV, but then Lang disappeared from view for a long time.
Ultimately, Lang clocked up just 11 appearances in the Eredivisie. “I’m not the type to let the outside world know what’s going on mentally and I like to keep things private,” Lang writes on Instagram, “but I think I have to do that now to make things clear.”
“Every match it was confrontational to see my team play and not be able to participate due to a hamstring problem that I have been suffering from since August, but only discovered in January due to three wrong diagnoses. The problem seemed much worse than what was before told.”
“And that explained why every time I started making minutes again, my hamstring started to bother me again. Mistakes were made, but I don’t blame anyone. I also had mononucleosis, which made the entire rehabilitation process hasn’t made it any easier.”
“But I always kept smiling,” concludes Lang. “I would like to thank everyone within PSV for all the support and appreciation I have received from day 1.”
“PSV is a warm family club and I am grateful that I can be part of it, even though it has not felt that way for me personally in recent months.”
“I am proud of my team and I am already focusing on next season in which we will win all the trophies together.”
