The competition is gradually coming to an end. So it’s time to hand out the necessary prizes.

The denouement of the Jupiler Pro League is coming. The play-offs are extremely exciting again. It is therefore a matter of seeing who will succeed Royal Antwerp FC as national champion. It could well be that it will last until the very last minutes of the competition again.

In other countries there are no play-offs and things are completely different. In the Premier League, for example, a Player of the Year is also chosen by the press. That honor went to Phil Foden this year.

Het Belang van Limburg asked analyst Johan Boskamp who would deserve that prize in our competition this season. The Dutchman will in any case end up with someone from Union SG, he told the newspaper.

Union-Anderlecht

There are two more names for him to choose from. “Cameron Puertas or Alessio Castro-Montes,” it sounds. “Both are having a particularly strong season. I think it’s very impressive how Puertas single-handedly pulled that team out of their slump.”

Union SG led the league for a long time, but now still have to work hard. “We’ll see if they can continue this against Anderlecht on Sunday. Anderlecht had a tough time at Cercle last weekend. So that promises to be an interesting game.”
