After the official announcement that Adrian Newey will leave Red Bull at the beginning of 2025, Jos Verstappen has stated that he fears that the team at Red Bull will fall apart.

Things have been going wrong at Red Bull Racing for some time now and not only several employees but also key figures appear to be leaving the team. Adrian Newey is the first important pawn to leave Red Bull, the harbinger of even more major shifts within Red Bull? Jos Verstappen certainly fears so.

“The team is in danger of falling apart. I was afraid of that earlier this year. For internal peace, it is important that the key figures remain on board. That is not the case now,” Jos Verstappen responded to ‘De Telegraaf’ on the departure of Adrian Newey.”

“Newey is leaving and earlier this year it also looked like Helmut would be sent away. That is not good for the future.”

Previously, Max Verstappen had also made it clear that he wanted peace and stability within the Red Bull team. However, that peace and stability has been hard to find in recent weeks.

“All I’ve said from the beginning is that you want a quiet and peaceful environment. As long as I am happy with the team, I see no reason to leave,” Verstappen said earlier.

In recent days, in addition to rumors about Adrian Newey’s departure, rumors have also surfaced about Mercedes increasingly seeking closer ties with Max Verstappen. For example, after the Miami GP, an important meeting is planned between Max Verstappen, his management and the top figures of Mercedes.
