Foo Fighters kicks off tour with a set list packed with old and new hits

--

The Foo Fighters tour started last weekend. The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival kicked off a tour that includes Rock Werchter and Hellfest. So there’s every reason to take a closer look at the set list.

Originally, Dave Grohl and co. already on the bill of the festival in New Orleans in 2022. At the time, however, the tour was forced to cancel due to the unexpected death of drummer Taylor Hawkins. Last weekend it was time to catch up on the missed performance. But what can we expect for the show at Rock Werchter?

Last year was the last album But Here We Are released. You would therefore expect that the necessary songs from that record are included in the set list. Nothing is less true. Only the single ‘Rescued’ will be played at the festival in New Orleans. Furthermore, the set list is as we know it from the rock band, with many hits. It is striking that work from almost every album is included, both from the oldest records and the newer ones. Three songs from the albums are played Medicine At Midnight, The Color And The Shape, Wasting Light and There Is Nothing Left To Lose. As always, the set ends with evergreens ‘Best Of You’ and ‘Everlong’.
