Listening figures week 17: NPO Radio 2 takes the lead thanks to the Royal 500 hit list

NPO Radio 2, the listening channel of the Dutch Public Broadcasting Service, is strengthening its leading position by broadcasting 500 big hits from its own country for a week. This seems to be a bit of a disadvantage Radio 10, 538 and NPO Radio 5. The 2 percent loss in market share is also striking Radio 10 compared to a year ago. This seems mainly in favor of 538, JOE and NPO Radio 5 to have gone.

Qmusic the wind in their sails is a bit lost and they are unable to score extra with their Zeroes Top 500, Sky Radio on the other hand, with their @Work Top 500. The trick of 100%NL to hitch a ride on the Orange feeling and King’s Day with their Royal 500 has not brought any extra listeners or listening time.

Radio Veronica drops below one million listeners, bringing it close to NPO Radio 5 which also drops below a million but, unlike Veronica, has no FM frequencies.

It must be taken into account that this concerns the first week of the May holidays, in which listening behavior is certainly different and many programs have a different line-up.
