Your family is there for big moments. That was even the case today for Alexander Blessin, whose wife Charlotte had crossed over to Brussels. That was not obvious, because Mrs. Blessin is still recovering from a spinal cord infarction.

His children accompanied him on the field, but Charlotte could not do that yet. Blessin then rushed over to her. They shared a long, close hug in the stands. “It has been a particularly tough season for us as a family,” she said. After the celebrations on the field, Blessin took Charlotte in her wheelchair to the locker room.

The Blessin family suffered a huge setback last summer. Charlotte suffered a stroke in August. Since that day she has been partially paralyzed. Alexander Blessin has not had an easy year. The Union trainer tries to travel as much as possible to Stuttgart, where his wife and children live. But that is not obvious, with a distance to be covered of 500 kilometers.

Fortunately, now comes the reward for all the difficult moments that Alexander and Charlotte have undoubtedly experienced.
