Warner Bros. Discovery officially launches HBO Max in Belgium on July 1, 2024 on MoviePulp

White smoke from the chimneys, MoviePulpers! Warner Bros. Discovery today announced that its new streaming service HBO Max will launch in Belgium on July 1, 2024. HBO Max brings together unmissable programming from HBO, real-life entertainment from Discovery and all the top international sports broadcasts from Eurosport’s premium subscription, to create a full viewing experience with outstanding TV shows, new and iconic films and unmissable sports matches – in one place for the first time.

Beginning June 11, 2024, HBO Max will give customers free early access* to the plan they choose (excluding the Sports add-on) for the first 14 days of their subscription, before the full launch on July 1, 2024. During this short period, certain titles are only available in English and French. The full HBO Max experience with all content in Dutch and French will be available from early July. Due to local market conditions, WBD has chosen to use the HBO Max brand name for its new streaming service in the Netherlands and Belgium. In other countries it is called Max.

From the previous access period on June 11, 2024, all BE TV customers will have access to HBO Max at no extra cost via the ‘Basic with advertising’ subscription. Telenet customers will be able to get access to the HBO Max app soon after launch. In addition, a new partnership has been signed with Ads & Data, making them the exclusive advertising partner for HBO Max in Belgium. Ads & Data will manage and offer the advertisements for the ‘Basic with advertising’ subscription on the Belgian market.

The launch of HBO Max will be accompanied by the highly anticipated return of the HBO Original House of the Dragon S2, as well as the HBO Originals The Last of Us, The White Lotus, Euphoria, True Detective: Night Country, The Regime, The Sympathizer and the upcoming new comedy The Franchise. A new range of Max Originals, based on popular Warner Bros. titles, will also arrive on the platform, including The Penguin & Welcome to Derry (Stephen King’s ‘IT’). Movies from Warner Bros. include Wonka, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom & The Color Purple. Also a whole series of films from Warner Bros.’ extensive library. will be available, including the entire Harry Potter franchise, The Matrix, The Dark Knight, Joker, as well as Discovery’s popular series such as 90 Day Fiancé, Gold Rush & Fixer Upper. This summer, HBO Max will also be the only place where you can watch everything live from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Paris 2024 is included in every subscription, so all customers get full access to the biggest sporting event in the world. A Sports Add-On also offers fans even more coverage of major international and European sports, including tennis Grand Slams such as Australian Open, Roland-Garros and the US Open, the 3 major rounds of the race: Giro d’Italia, La Vuelta a España and the Tour de France in addition to the Tour de France Femmes, and all Cycling Monuments & Classics, the 24 Hours of Le Mans car race, the Snooker World Tour, the Golf PGA Tour and all major winter sports World Championships and World Cup events.**

• The price of a standard monthly subscription is € 9.99 per month.
• Users can stream on 2 devices simultaneously.
• Content will be available in Full HD resolution.
• With this plan you can view up to 30 downloads of content offline.

Premium:

• The Premium plan costs €13.99 per month and offers the best consumer experience.
• Users can stream on up to 4 devices simultaneously.
• Full HD or 4K resolution and with Dolby Atmos sound (where available).
• This plan allows up to 100 downloads for offline viewing. (Limits apply.)

Sports add-on:

• The Sport Add-On costs €5.00 per month and offers coverage of top sporting events including Grand Slam tennis, cycling races, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the live linear channels Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 and much more.**
