This edition, surfing fanatics can visit not only the Zuiderpershuis, but also De Studio. After last year’s great success, the festival will take place from Saturday May 25 to Sunday May 26. The weekend starts with the Benelux premiere of ‘The Road to Patagonia’.

The film festival starts on Saturday evening in De Studio. In collaboration with De Cinema, the festival focuses on surf films with cinematographic value. “We start the evening with the Benelux premiere of the award-winning documentary ‘The Road to Patagonia’,” says Filip Van Moerkercke of Haven Surf.

“The film tells the story of two strangers whose lives are changed forever when they meet on the surfing adventure of a lifetime, discovering love, delay and four charismatic horses.”

Like the previous edition, there are food stalls, but also an art section that this year is curated by surfer/journalist Veerle Helsen, who also presents her new book Surf & Art. Both the book and the artworks will then be for sale.

Tickets are available here. You can buy a combination ticket for Saturday and Sunday for 19 euros. For Saturday May 25 only the pre-sale ticket is 10 euros, and for Sunday May 26 only the pre-sale ticket is 12 euros.
