A 24-year-old woman was seriously injured after the lead singer of an Australian punk rock band jumped into the audience during a concert in Buffalo, New York. The woman was enjoying the concert of punk rock band Trophy Eyes in Buffalo’s Mohawk Place concert hall last Tuesday, when lead singer John Floreani decided to dive into the audience during the first song. Show stopped immediately
“The band was about two minutes into the first song of their set when the concert stopped very abruptly,” someone who was there wrote on Reddit. “A girl in the middle appeared to have been seriously injured after the stage dive. I left immediately when I saw how bad she was. The show was stopped completely when the ambulance arrived. I really hope that everything turns out fine with that fan.”
Major surgery
The victim’s name is Bird Piche. A close family friend has since set up a GoFundMe page for the 20-something to help with her medical bills. On the page, the family states that the American has already undergone “major surgery” after she suffered a “catastrophic back injury” in the incident. It is still too early to make statements about the prognosis, it sounds. In any case, a long and difficult rehabilitation awaits.
Trophy Eyes said in a statement on X that they found the tragic incident during their show “heartbreaking”. “This situation has shocked all of us to our core,” the band said. “We ask for your patience as we work to help Bird through this difficult time. Please keep Bird in your thoughts.”

The GoFundMe page shows that the band itself has donated $5,000 for the fan’s recovery. The singer also accompanied the victim to the hospital last week. “He was clearly devastated when he realized he had really hurt her,” said another concertgoer. “We heard her say she was scared and couldn’t move. That’s when we knew it wasn’t right.” .”
The band members of Trophy Eyes remain in close contact with the woman and say they will provide more news when they know more. The band’s American tour appears to be continuing.
