Two of the five horses that ran loose through central London on Wednesday are in serious condition. The Minister of Defense has confirmed this. “We will monitor their condition,” it said.
London was in turmoil on Wednesday morning. Suddenly, five horses were running loose through the center of the British capital. The horses came from the Household Cavalry, part of the British army. The animals were startled by a load of cement that fell on the ground at a construction site and they ran away. They threw off their riders, wounding four people.
Images showed the horses walking through the city and causing quite a commotion. It also showed a white horse covered in blood. It later became known that one of the horses collided head-on with a parked tour bus.

“They’re still alive”
By midday all the horses were recaptured and examined by a veterinarian. Defense Minister James Cartlidge said on Thursday that two of the horses were in serious condition. “Three of them are fine, two of them are unfortunately in a relatively serious condition and obviously we will monitor that condition. They are in serious condition, but as I understand it, they are still alive.” The two horses would be named Vida and Quaker.
The four riders were taken to hospital for treatment, but are not said to be in critical condition.
