US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping held telephone calls on Tuesday with the aim of keeping tensions between the two superpowers under control.

US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen will go to China “in the coming days” and Secretary of State Antony Blinken “in the coming weeks” to continue dialogue, a senior White House official said.
