Jumping by Nobilem in Dilbeek provided the stage for the HGVBB riders over the weekend. Xander van Es was able to add another victory to his list of achievements in the main category.
Nine of the thirty-six combinations managed to complete both phases of the 1.30m high course without errors. For Van Es in the saddle of Impuls vd Heffinck (Cooper vd Heffinck), a time of 35.33s was recorded, which turned out to be the fastest. For Bert Panneels and the 10-year-old Ogina vd Bisschop (Vigo d’Arsouilles) it was just not with a time of 35.47s. Koen Verdegem clocked in at 36.29s with Kalvara (Calvaro) and took the bronze.
A flawless ride in a time of 36.79s in the second phase gave Bert Panneels fourth place in the saddle of Nicodemus van het Blondveld (Vagabond de La Pomme). Thomas Leemans was ranked fifth with Petrouska Dm Z (Peppermill) thanks to their time of 37.11s. In addition, Leemans was also good for sixth place behind Lou van OLV Hove (Quinn vd Heffinck).
Van Es was also in the 1.20m category the fastest combination, again with the 16-year-old BWP gelding under saddle. Here it was Xantia van Assche who took second place with the 9-year-old Palma van de Claevervallei (Cayado) ahead of Arno Boon and the 8-year-old L’Arc de Triomphe son, Qlassic van’t Bosveld.
At a height of 1.10m Naomie Bellomo managed to steal the win from the Van Es family and triumphed with the 7-year-old Madonna (Insider VDL). Xander came second with D-Isci van de Kattevennen Z (Darco) ahead of brother Karsten who was ridden by Hamilton (Contact vd Heffinck). Karsten completed the entire top five with Pepita Di Cantero (Kafka vd Heffinck) and Extraction vd Kattevennen Z (H&M Extra) respectively.
