At the beginning of this year, Lancia surprised the world with the new Ypsilon, which will ensure the resurrection of the illustrious brand. The Ypsilon is related to its Stellantis siblings such as the Opel Corsa and the Peugeot 208. Today Lancia announces the Dutch prices.
Lancia starts with three equipment levels. The Ypsilon, The Ypsilon LX and Edizione Limitata Cassina. The 100 hp hybrid variant is yours for 29,700 euros, for the electric variant with 51 kWh and a range of 402 kilometers you pay 34,400 euros. Stellantis thus positions the Italian brand slightly above the 208, which offers the 208 hybrid from 27,280 euros. The Ypsilon hybrid variant has a 1.2 three-cylinder turbo petrol engine linked to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Lots of stuff
So what’s in it? In any case, a rich standard of equipment: Electrically adjustable and heated exterior mirrors, automatic air conditioning and keyless entry, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are always standard.
Add to that a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, rear parking sensors, and we think you have little to wish for.
Pampering
If you want to treat yourself, you can look one equipment level further and end up with the Ypsilon LX. Then you also have access to the mysterious SALA. This is an illuminated, UFO-like element on top of the dashboard that controls the entire atmosphere in your Ypsilon. An additional infotainment system that brings together the audio, climate control and lighting functions. We are curious.
In the LX you also get access to an automatically dimming interior mirror, electrically folding exterior mirrors, 17-inch alloy wheels, dark tinted rear windows, and an induction charger for smartphones. The additional cost for the LX equipment is 3000 euros.
Coffee table
Lancia completes the introductory range with the special Lancia Ypsilon EDIZIONE LIMITATA CASSINA. It is supplied in a maximum of 1906 copies, the year in which Lancia was born. Cassina is a world-renowned Italian interior design studio. This interior is reflected, for example, in the special coffee table(!) in the dashboard. Covered with leather and numbered for this occasion. There is even more indulgence in this exclusive version; heated front seats with 17 inch alloy. The new Ypsilon can be ordered immediately.
