Finally it’s here: the Google Pixel 8a. The smartphone is an affordable version of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro and will soon be available in Dutch stores. On Tuesday May 14 the release will take place, but the Pixel 8a can already be pre-ordered.
You are then assured that you will receive the new Google phone immediately. The smartphone has a suggested retail price of 549 euros and is therefore five tens of euros more expensive than its predecessor, the Pixel 7a. Belsimpel has been selling Google Pixel smartphones for some time and the Pixel 8a is also available here – both separately and in combination with a subscription. The entry-level model of the Pixel 8a has 128GB of storage space and, as mentioned, costs 549 euros.
What is new is that a 256GB version will also be released this year. Of course, you pay more for that: Google uses a recommended retail price of 1.5% 609 euros. The 8a is more expensive at launch than the Pixel 7a last year, which was launched at a price of 509 euros.
